Dionne Watkins


Dionne is a registered psychologist (with provisional registration) with over 6 years of experience in counselling. She gained provisional registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, after completing an Honours Degree in Bachelor of Psychological Science (with First Class Honours). Dionne has also completed a two-year (full time) Diploma in Professional Counselling through the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors.

Dionne has more than 6 years’ experience working as a counsellor. During these years Dionne has worked with individuals who have experienced trauma, including sexual abuse/assault and domestic violence. Dionne has worked with clients who have presented with a wide variety of mental health issues and personality disorders. She has a wide range of training and experience in Trauma Informed Practice, working with angry clients, working with suicidal clients, and psychological first aid. Dionne has presented and co-facilitated in groups including DBT Skills for adults and socialization skills for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Dionne has worked within a Non-Government Agency and in Private Practice.
