Individual & Group Therapy

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy involves meeting regularly with a therapist for a series of sessions each lasting between 30-50 minutes. Working with the therapist you will look at your thoughts, feelings and behaviours to work out if they are unrealistic or unhelpful and how they affect each other, and you.

Your therapy may include maintaining a diary, learning and practising techniques that assist with coping with difficult situations and participating in an agreed program.

Consultations are confidential – between you and the therapist.

Group Therapy - Not available

In group therapy approximately 6-10 individuals meet face-to-face with a trained group therapist. During the group meeting time, members decide what they want to talk about.

Members are encouraged to give feedback to others that includes expressing your own feelings about what someone says or does.

Group members make a commitment to the group and are instructed that the content of the group sessions are confidential. It is not appropriate for group members to disclose events of the group to an outside person.
